I was asked to copy a pretty unique little pouch with a good southern provenance and circa 1850 or so....
Awhile back last fall, I was asked to make up a pouch with a bobcat hide flap. Well, I was finally able to get it done. I usually dont use rings to attach straps, but it was also requested, so a pair of antique iron rings was used. An antique brass harness buckle was used for strap adjustment. the pouch was made from veg. tan 3~4 oz. tooling leather, and antiqued with my home made dyes and polishes. It turned out pretty well, and Im very happy with it ....you can see the 3 pictures I have posted of it , front, back, and opened view....thanks for loking...

this is a big side knife I forged with a traditional sheath made for it too. The harness spots are salvaged old originals.
